About Me

Backpacking in the Garhwal Himalayas '13. (was that real?!)
Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Shannon Pepper, recently-graduated part-time outdoor educator, passable backcountry snowboarder and climber, and aspiring thru-hiker. I can't imagine a better graduation gift to myself than diving into this crazy adventure and getting giddy about living, breathing, and hiking the wild and mighty Western US.
Here you'll find my thoughts on the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail, which will take me about five months to hike and at least that to prepare. I'll have detailed accounts of gear prep, resupply strategy, training, and a whole heck of a lot more. During the hike, this will be my day-to-day journal of photos, locations, and thoughts on trail life. Afterwards, I'll use this site to gather and organize any other trail-related tidbits for you and I to munch on.
Enjoy, and don't be a stranger! Feel free to leave me notes here or email me at: spepperpony@hotmail.com
